What kind of people do you tend to work with?
I typically help people who are stuck in a pattern or rut, and are seeking something that will take them to a deeper level of healing or resolution. Often my clients have tried other approaches and they want more than talk therapy. I specialize in treating trauma, the psychological aspects of chronic illness, and children with social and emotional challenges (including those which may have originated from traumatic experiences.)
How often would I come in?
Sessions are typically scheduled once per week, though there are no rules. The frequency is entirely related to the needs of the person.
How many sessions would I see you?
Some goals are easily reached within a short timeframe (i.e., 5-10 sessions), while other goals require more sessions over a longer period of time.
How long does a session last?
Most sessions are 50 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
I ask that you to pay at the time of service. If you’d like to be reimbursed by your insurance, I would be happy to provide you with a bill that you can submit for reimbursement. You will need to check with your insurance company regarding coverage, and whether your company requires a referral in order for treatment costs to be reimbursed.
