Science-based Parenting Advice

Here is a great resource for parenting advice that is science-based and highly accessible. It is published by the Berkeley, CA based organization called Greater Good. They do research and education about positive psychology–or the science of well-being. Check it out: Raising Happiness

Below are some great parent education guidelines for children ages birth to 5 years old. They are published by the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL), which is focused on promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age 5. CSEFEL is a national resource center funded by the Office of Head Start and Child Care Bureau for disseminating research and evidence-based practices to early childhood programs across the country.
